Can God become a more natural part of your life? Can your relationship with him be as simple as breathing?
Is there anything you need to breathe in?
Is there anyting you need to breathe out?

As a drama student I’m always being corrected on my breathing. So I thought I would share a bit of what I’ve been taught about breathing. I have used simple breathing exercises for a long time and its really helped me. As an aggressive bad tempered person I have learnt to relax to the point where I enjoy having high pressure tense situations to deal with because I no that I can deal with them. That’s why on Sunday it really struck me that maybe our breathing is more than breathing and possibly it has spiritual side to it because i seen what it can do for me.
I will grantee that since a baby you all would have stopped breathing correctly. Has it ever accrued to you that when you trying squeeze into something someone will say breath in. - How can you make yourself smaller by breathing in. - this is because we (wrongly) breath from our chests and therefore on an in breath we push our chests out and drag our stomach with our diaphragm in, cramping the diaphragm making the breath much sorter. If you watch a baby breath you will notice that their stomach not the chest moves out on the in breath. So as a quick breathing exercise breath through you nose for a count of four seconds, and let you stomach expand. For the out breath, breath out through you mouth for four seconds letting the stomach contract (your chest and sholders should not move). Try breathing like this before you pray or when you feel stressed– and if you can increase the numbers to regulate you breathing further, I can comfortably breath in and out over a count of 40 seconds. –
